AP Accountant with Hungarian

About the client:
My client is working in FMCG area across global markets. We are recruiting to the business centre located in Wrocław. 

Location: Wroclaw
Working mode: Hybrid

About the Role:
We are seeking a proactive and detail-driven AP Accountant with fluency in Hungarian to manage and streamline the processing of various invoices, maintain supplier relationships, and ensure compliance with local accounting regulations. This role offers an opportunity to be a key player in our finance team, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in all accounts payable activities. You will work closely with cross-functional teams, including Logistics, Procurement, and Finance, to ensure smooth operations and resolve any discrepancies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Verify and process domestic and foreign invoices, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies and local regulations.

  • Match invoices with receipts or purchase orders and resolve discrepancies.

  • Record invoices in the SAP system with proper account assignments.

  • Prepare and manage supplier balance confirmations, reconciling any discrepancies.

  • Assist with month-end and year-end close processes, including account reconciliations and journal entries.

  • Support internal and external audits by providing required documentation and explanations.

  • Identify opportunities to improve accounts payable processes and support automation initiatives.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to address supplier inquiries and ensure smooth operations.


Required Qualifications:

  • Proficiency in Hungarian and English, both written and spoken.

  • Strong understanding of accounts payable processes, accounting principles, and local VAT regulations.

  • Experience working with SAP system

  • Strong attention to detail, analytical skills, and problem-solving ability.

  • Good communication and organizational skills.


Preferred:

  • Prior experience in a multinational environment or global finance team.

  • ​​​​​​​Familiarity with process improvement and automation tools.

  • ​​​​​Degree or certification in Accounting, Finance, or related fields is an advantage.
