Our Ukrainian client, a Kyiv-based tour operator, boasts 12 years of leadership in the tourism industry, having served 5.5 million travelers. Operating internationally, their growing brand innovates by uncovering new destinations and enhancing existing ones, while collaborating with 10,000 tourist agencies through an efficient distribution system built on exclusive contracts and robust partner support.
They are looking for a motivated and experienced Sales Area Manager to join the team in the Czech Republic. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of the tourism industry and be able to effectively build and maintain relationships with travel agencies. The Manager will also promote products and services to agencies and their clients.
Location: Prague (hybrid model)
Reports to: Regional Manager
Main duties:
- Managing the sales channel with independent travel agencies
- Comprehensive management of the subordinate sales region
- Taking an active role in presentations, workshops, meetings, and study tours
- Constantly developing the agency network in the subordinate sales region and building and maintaining relationships with travel agencies
- Conducting effective commercial negotiations with partners
- Supporting the company's brand development and creating a positive image of the company
- Implementing sales plans and achieving sales results in the subordinate region
- Conducting market research and monitoring competitors' activities and air traffic
- Constantly improving the quality of agent service by conducting product and system training
Requirements:
- 3-5+ years of experience in the tourism industry in a similar position
- Knowledge of local market dynamics, trends, and key players
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent negotiation skills and ability to build strong relationships with external partners
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize effectively, and ensure seamless execution of sales strategies
- Driving License B, enabling flexibility for travel and engagement as required by the role
