The role

As part of the Engineering Systems team, you will enable the hardware engineering teams to produce world leading IP cores. In this highly visible role you will liaise with a diverse range of engineering teams, with the primary focus to support the requirements of all our hardware engineering departments. It is an exciting opportunity in the semiconductor industry, join a team who automates our design and verification processes at a press of a button. 

You will:

• Enhance the existing flows in use by our internal customers
• Take ownership of shaping the future of new flows and methodologies
• Engage in the full process of development from concept and design to development, testing and deployment
• Have a direct impact on the day to day work of our engineering teams
• Evaluate cutting edge technology in EDA (Electronic Design Automation) in the fields of simulation & regression, formal, synthesis, emulation, linting

You'll have:

• Knowledge within the domain of EDA tools and an understanding of hardware description languages (SV/Verilog/VHDL) 
• A desire to work within a Python environment 
• Demonstrated ability to develop object orientated programming solutions in any language
• Good troubleshooting & problem solving skills
• Experience interfacing with hardware engineers
• Worked within a Linux environment and familiarity with shell scripting & makefiles

You might also have:

• Knowledge of Perl/C/C++
• Experience developing EDA tools
• Experience with databases - SQL / NOSQL
• Knowledge of test-driven development and familiarity with the py.test testing framework e.g. coverage, mock, fixtures
